Hapkido Refresher Seminar 2024
Come review the whole curriculum, white belt through brown belt.
Each session will cover four levels:
Saturday March 23rd, 2024
Session 01: 10:00 am - 01:00 pm White Belt - Yellow Belt
Lunch break: 01:00 pm - 02:00 pm
Session 02: 02:00 pm - 05:00 pm Green Belt - Blue Belt
Sunday March 24th, 2024
Session 03: 10:00 am - 01:00 pm Purple Belt - Brown Belt
Suggested donation: $50 per session or $100 for all three sessions.

With 30 years of teaching Aikido and 57 years of martial arts experience, Yoshi Shibata brings his joyous application of the art to Aikido Academy and Enso Center in Redmond, WA.
With a background that includes training with Seigo Okamoto in Daito Ryu for 10 years, including a two year intensive as Okamoto Sensei's traveling uke in Japan, Yoshi brings a specific perspective to his classes. Further studies include two years full time training in Aikido at Honbu dojo in Japan. Additional arts include: Jodo, Judo, laido, and Karate.
Seminar details:
$200.00 for the full seminar (3 days, all sessions)
$50.00 each for single sessions on Friday and Saturday.
$75.00 for the session on Sunday.
Scholarships available, if needed.

Hapkido Refresher

Master Jason Mix holds a yearly Hapkido refresher seminar to teach teachers and keep his students up to date on our curriculum.
Daito Ryu Aiki Jujitsu Seminar With Sensei Goldberg

We were fortunate to have Sensei Roy Goldberg from Albany, New York teach a daito-ryu aiki jujitsu seminar at our dojo.
Hapkido, Tai Chi and Health

Martial Arts and healing have a long history together. In this seminar Masters; Jason Mix, Sean Bradley and Kim Ivy explored this theme. Kim Ivy taught 18 Hands of Luohan, Sean Bradley taught Hapkido and Health and Jason Mix taught Hapkido and the 5 Elements.
World Hapkido Federation International Seminar

We hosted the North American World Hapkido Federation seminar featuring Master Roe Jai Myung of Canada, Masters Jason Mix, Susan Mix, and Lucas Mix of Enso Center, Master Sellas of Puerto Rico and Master Peralta of Chile.
Aiki Seminar from Sensei Nick Lowry

We were honored to have Sensei Nick Lowry of Oklahoma teach us about Aiki, the root of Aikido, at our dojo.

Principles of Aiki Movement Seminar with Sensei Pearson

We are honored that aiki arts teacher Eric Pearson from Austin , Texas teaches an annual seminar at our dojo.
Daito Ryu Aiki Jujitsu with Sensei Popkin

We have attended several seminars of Sensei Howard Popkin and Joe Brogna and have been fortunate to have them host seminars here as well.
30 Year Celebration Open House

To celebrate our 30 Year Anniversary of teaching, we hosted a large open house celebration with demos, food and fun. Nearly 100 current and past students came to celebrate with us.
(SWE) Society of Women Engineers Self Defense Seminar

The Society of Women Engineers has us teach a self defense seminar to their members each year. Last year, we also held a stress management seminar for them as well.
Family Game Night, CPR Certification and Hapkido Refresher

We often have events like these throughout the year. This event flyer features three events in one weekend: a free family game night, CPR recertification course and a Hapkido Refresher taught by Master Jason Mix.

Places We've Travelled For Events Sampling of National & International Events We've Attended
St. Petersburg, Russia
Several Enso students competed in the international tournament and three Enso students earned medals. Master Jason Mix was invited by Master Demid Momot of Russia to perform a demo in front of thousands in St. Petersburg in 2019, which was nationally televised.
Zagreb, Croatia

Enso Center students have visited Zagreb, Croatia to take part in an international seminar hosted by Mladen Kuznik with a session taught by Master Jason Mix. We were scheduled to return there for a seminar in April 2020, until international travel was no longer allowed. The April 2020 trip was to also include Zurich, Bergamo, St. Petersburg and Wittenberg.
Madrid, Spain

Master Jason Mix taught and attended this International seminar hosted by Master Reyes of Spain. Master Reyes and Enso's Master Mix were two of Grandmaster Kwang Sik Myung's senior students and together with Masters Momot of Russia and Sellas of Puerto Rico, founded World Union Hapkido.
San Juan, Puerto Rico

Master Jason Mix taught and we attended this seminar hosted by Master Sellas of Puerto Rico. Master Sellas and Enso's Master Mix were two of Grandmaster Kwang Sik Myung's senior students and together with Masters Momot of Russia and Reyes of Spain, founded World Union Hapkido
Athens, Greece

Enso Center students travelled to different International seminars in Athens, Greece. Master Vagelis Thanos, a senior student of Grandmaster Kwang Sik Myung hosted this World Hapkido Federation events with sessions taught by Master Jason Mix.
Wittenberg, Germany

The Mix family was thrilled to meet this like minded family, the Goesslings. Masters Volker and Nadine have made Hapkido an integral part of the Goessling family's lives, like the Mix family. We were honored to attend and teach at this seminar in their Wittenberg, Germany dojo.
Atlantic City, New Jersey

Enso Center students have attended this martial arts convention in Atlantic City. There were booths, seminars, demos, competitions and a gala dinner where Master Jason Mix received a lifetime achievement award.
Tucson, Arizona

Enso Center students were able to visit Master Lucas Mix's school at the University of Arizona and train together, while U of A students were able to earn their black belts after several years of training.
Austin, Texas

Sensei Eric Pearson of Austin, Texas has exchanged seminars with Enso Center regularly over the last ten years for high level training seminars.
Bellingham, WA

Enso Center black belts were able to travel to Western University in Bellingham to support teachers, Alex and Glenn Anderson and their school.
Seattle, WA

We had the privilege to attend the last American Tour of Master Chen Xiao Xing at Master Kim Ivy's Embrace the Moon studio in Seattle, WA.
Oklahoma City

Students of Enso Center attended this Aiki seminar hosted by Sensei Nick Lowry with sessions taught by Master Jason Mix, at the beautiful Windsong Dojo in Oklahoma City.
Salem, Oregon

Several Enso Center black belts were able to travel to Willamette University in Salem, Oregon to support teacher Rachel Lovitt and her students.
Livermore, California

Sensei Jim Alvarez of Shinrei Dojo in Livermore, hosted a seminar featuring Daito-Ryu Aikijujitsu Sensei Howard Popkin of New York.
