Archers,

December in Seattle means cold air, misty mornings, and that familiar winter quiet on the range. Even though we’re still shooting outdoors, our covered deck and heaters make it surprisingly comfortable—as long as you come prepared.

A few tips to stay warm and focused:

Layer smartly Thin, fitted layers keep you warm without bulking up your anchor or draw. Avoid puffy jackets—they fight your form.
Warm your hands often Fingerless gloves or hand warmers in your pockets help maintain dexterity between ends.
Keep your bow dry A quick wipe with a towel prevents grip slip and keeps your string happy.
Stay hydrated It’s easy to forget in the cold, but hydration affects strength and steadiness.

Winter shooting builds grit, calm, and incredible focus. Lean into the stillness—your form and your mind will thank you.

See you on the (warm-ish) line,
