World Hapkido Federation International Seminar
November 2012

On November 16th - 18th 2012, the World Hapkido Federation (WHF), in collaboration with Enso Center, hosted an International Seminar in Redmond, WA, USA.

Instructors for the seminar were:

  • Master Roe Jai Myung (Toronto, ON, Canada)
    WHF Director General

  • Master Tim Shin (Los Angeles, CA, USA)
    WHF Technical Director

  • Master Vagelis Thanos (Athens, Greece)
    Greek Hapkido Association (GHA) President
    WHF Regional Director - Eastern Europe and the Middle East

  • Master Jason Mix (Redmond, WA, USA)
    Enso Center for International Arts Director
    WHF Regional Director - West Coast USA

Sessions taught were about blending transitions in Hapkido from basic to advanced technique and theory.

Master Myung, son of WHF founder Grand Master Kwang Sik Myung, led a session on Defense Against the Knife.

Master Shin, a personal student and assistant to Grandmaster Kwang Sik Myung for over two decades, led a session on Using Rope for Both Attack and Defense.

Master Thanos, a senior member of the WHF, led a session on Pressure Points.

Master Mix, a senior member of the WHF, led sessions on the Connections Between Basic and Advanced Techniques Including the 5 Elements.

The Enso Center seminar is the 3rd of three successful WHF international seminars held within the last seven months. The other two seminars were held in Athens, Greece in May 2012 and in St Petersburg, Russia in October of 2012.
